Your Mustang on a poster, down to the stripes
The Mustang is the car we print most. 87 paid orders so far, 83 of them in the US, and almost every one is a specific car with a specific story: the 1968 convertible a couple drove to the Royal Gorge in 1971, the 1990 GT a husband still calls his baby, the Bullitt whose owner set the print up next to the car at a cruise.
This page shows real customer Mustangs (no plates, no people), which generations owners order, where they put them, and how to photograph yours so the poster gets the details right.

§ 01
Real Mustangs from real orders
Each poster below is a paid customer order, shown with the plate blank and nobody in the car. Every one started as a single phone photo.

§ 02
Which Mustangs owners order
Every generation has come through. The first generation, 1964 and a half to 1973, is the biggest group by far: more than a third of our Mustang orders are coupes, fastbacks, convertibles and Mach 1s from those years.
After that, the S197 (2005 to 2014) and the S550 (2015 to 2023) are about even, with plenty of Boss 302s, GT500s and Bullitts among them. Fox bodies and SN95s show up regularly, and we have done a Mustang II and an S650 too.
§ 03
Where owners put their Mustang
More than a third of Mustang owners describe their own scene. The north shore of Lake Superior on Highway 61 came up three separate times. Others asked for the Las Vegas desert, Sedona's red rocks, the Golden Gate and the Painted Ladies, the Alamo, a New England back road in October, and the Royal Gorge bridge with its wooden deck.
From the ready-made scenes, the Pacific Coast Highway wins clearly, then Route 66 and Watkins Glen. A Mustang on Route 66 is close to a cliché, and owners order it anyway. We understand.
§ 04
How to photograph a Mustang for a poster
Stand at the front three-quarter and crouch to grille height. That angle shows the grille, the running horse and the side scoop or C-pillar shape, which is how a 1967 fastback and a 1967 coupe tell themselves apart.
Get the stripes in frame. Rocker stripes, hood stripes, Le Mans stripes, a Mach 1 hood or a Boss side C-stripe: if they are on the car, we want to see them. Same for wheels. Magstars, Torq Thrusts, Pony wheels and aftermarket mesh all read differently on a poster.
For a convertible, say whether you want the top up or down. For a Fox body or SN95, tell us the trim (LX, GT, Cobra) in the notes. Leave the plate on and we can remove it or keep it, your choice.
§ 05

From customers
“The print turned out beautifully. I had it made for my husband‘s birthday. This car is his baby and we’ve been married a long time so I hardly ever know what to get him when the time rolls around. This was absolutely perfect and he loves it! Thank you for a great job and the quick turnaround time.”
“Love it! I was surprised that you were able to have the bridge at Royal Gorge, Colorado! We went there in 1971 with that car and putting us in the car was a nice touch. The only real change I had to make was the roadway. Your first draft had it paved and I told you that it should be wooden planks. After only two re-dos, you got it perfect! May I suggest using it in your ads since I haven't seen anything like it in your examples. You have my ok. Excellent job! I am very pleased. Thank you!”
“It came out great displayed it with my car this afternoon at a cruise many nice vomments”
“It’s even better than i thought. Great looking hanging by my car show trophies. Very pleased.”
