A poster of your Corvette. Not a Corvette. Yours.

Every Corvette owner can tell a stock photo from their own car in about a second. The wheels are wrong, the stripe is missing, the top is up when it should be down. So we only make one kind of Corvette poster: the one built from a photo of your car.

Corvettes are one of the cars we print most. 80 paid orders so far, 79 of them shipped in the US, from 1950s C1 roadsters to mid-engine C8s. Below are real customer Corvettes (no plates, no faces), what owners picked, and how to take the photo that gets your generation right.

Which Corvettes people order

Every generation has shown up. The C3 leads by a distance: about a quarter of our Corvette orders are 1968 to 1982 cars, chrome bumpers and rubber bumpers both. The C7 comes next, then the mid-year C2 Sting Ray, split-window and convertible alike. C4s, C5s, C6s, C8s and a handful of solid-axle C1s fill out the rest.

The pattern behind it is simple. These are cars people have owned for decades, or cars they bought the year they could finally afford one. One owner told us he bought his 1958 at eighteen and still drives it at seventy-seven.

§ 03

Where owners put their Corvette

About three in ten Corvette owners skip our scene list and describe their own place. We have drawn Corvettes on Woodward Avenue in Detroit, in front of Graceland, at Niagara Falls, in Acadia National Park, on Florida beach roads and in the Texas Hill Country in bluebonnet season.

From the ready-made scenes, the favorites are the Pacific Coast Highway, Route 66 and the Tail of the Dragon, then Daytona Beach and the Overseas Highway in the Keys. The Dragon makes sense: 318 curves in 11 miles is what a Corvette is for.

§ 04

How to photograph a Corvette for a poster

Shoot from the front three-quarter, at headlight height, in daylight. Crouch. From standing height a Corvette looks shorter and flatter than it is, and the hood line is the whole point of a C2 or C3.

Show the details that tell the years apart. On a C2 or C3, get the front fender gills and the side exhaust or bumper style in frame. On a C8, a side or rear three-quarter shows the side intake and the mid-engine proportions better than a straight front shot.

Tell us what the photo can't. Hidden headlights up or down, T-tops in or out, convertible top up or down, the exact wheel option. If you have a Grand Sport, a Z06 or a ZR1, say so in the notes. Leave the plate on: we can remove it, and most owners have us do that.

Formats and prices

Corvette owners split almost half and half. 37 of the 80 chose the fine-art print, 24 went framed and 19 chose canvas, four of those in a float frame. The 12 x 16 in size is the most picked, then 16 x 20 in for above a desk or a garage workbench.

Every size comes portrait or landscape. Shipping in the US is free and a digital copy of the artwork comes with every physical print.
